The Garo Students’ Union (GSU), Garobadha unit has written to the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills district over the extremely poor quality of network connectivity in Garobadha, Rangsakona, Mukhdangra and its adjoining areas while seeking a solution to the problem.
In a letter to the DC submitted today, the NGO pointed to the fact that online classes were the norm in the time of the pandemic and poor network in these areas has badly affected the nature of online education.
The NGO mentioned that all network services in the area were poor and have been causing a huge problem and loss for both the teachers and students alike.
“The poor network could be due to the negligence, maintenance or excessive subscriber base. However it is correctible and we request you to intervene for the sake of the student community in these places,” said general secretary of the unit, Bibian Momin.
