A new television series, ‘Postcards from Meghalaya’, will air on the National Geographic channel with an aim to further promote the state as a venue for tourism.
The show is meant to highlight Meghalaya’s “rich cultural heritage, breathtaking natural beauty, and mouthwatering cuisine,” a press release from the Department of Tourism said today.
Produced by National Geographic Creative Works, ‘Postcards from Meghalaya’ takes in Umiam Lake, Nongriat’s root bridges, unique traditions and indigenous knowledge of the Khasi people and is hosted by Larissa D’Sa.
The press release does not mention the time and date the show will air. Nor does it mention whether Garo Hills will be featured.
