Shillong, Dec 11: A new healthcare facility, Adasa Clinic, was inaugurated at the Williamnagar Municipality Shopping Complex in Soil Bazar, marking a significant addition to medical services in East Garo Hills.
The clinic was officially opened by Dabo Mrong, National Secretary and Working President of the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), in the presence of health officials and local leaders.
The clinic, a joint initiative of two brothers, will primarily offer ultrasonography services, making it the second private clinic in Williamnagar to provide this facility. This is expected to reduce the need for residents to travel long distances for ultrasound diagnostics.
Mrong praised the brothers for prioritising service over profit, urging them to focus on quality care to build trust.
Sanjiv A. Sangma, father of one of the proprietors, said the clinic aims to serve the community while being sustainable.
The ceremony concluded with a blessing from Rev Kokila R. Marak, seeking guidance for the clinic’s journey.
The clinic plans to expand services in the future, enhancing healthcare access in the region.
