Meghalaya Governor CH Vijayashankar unveiled a new book, “Private Universities in India: A Legal and Policy Blueprint Acts: Challenges, Reforms, and Strategies for Growth”, authored by Sagar Onkarrao Manjare, Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya, one such private varsity.
Denys Shabong and Shital Aher of MGU were also present at the release.
The inspiration behind this work was provided by Rajan Chopra, Chancellor of MGU.
This volume navigates India’s complex legal and educational frameworks, emphasising the urgency for policies that bridge quality education with skill development and sustainable advancement. A significant portion of the book is dedicated to the National Education Policy 2020.
