A book on ‘The Welsh Presbyterian Mission in Sylhet, Bangladesh and Jaiñtia Hills, India – Memoirs of the Lewis Family’ was released at John Roberts Theological college in Mawklot village today.
The book was authored by Marilyn Lewis and was released by Martin Luther Christian University Vice-Chancellor TK Kharbamon.
From the letters of her parents, Lewis, who now lives in New Zealand, chronicled their experiences as missionaries of the Welsh Mission in the late 1930s in the Indian Subcontinent. Commenting on these narratives, Kharbamon noted that this book is “an album in words” of the dedicated service of the missionaries.
The function was hosted by the JRTC community in Mawklot and moderated by its Vice-Principal, Rev BS Sohkhlet.
