The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Rymbai, East Jaiñtia Hills today celebrated the third anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
JNV Principal Indra Kumar Das at a press conference highlighted on the need to overhaul the educational system and how the NEP will play an important role to reform and rejuvenate the existing structure of education.
He said equitable and inclusive education, exposure of vocational education, promotion of regional language till Class 8 are some of the salient features of the policy, adding that the multi-disciplinary approach of the policy will encourage many students to take up higher studies.
It may be mentioned that atwo-day Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) of the central government will be held in New Delhi on July 29 and July 30 on the occasion of the third anniversary of NEP-2020.
In the run up to the anniversary, central schools and institutions in the State are holding press conferences to highlight about the benefits of implementation of NEP.
