The first Revised Basic Course workshop on Medical Education Technology was conducted by the National Medical Council (NMC), Regional Centre for Medical Education Technology (RC-MET), NEIGRIHMS.
The workshop held from September 12 to 14 was attended by 19 medical faculties from West Bengal, Sikkim, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and 11 in house faculties were trained.
This program aims to improve the quality of medical education in the eastern region, by up-skilling medical teachers in newer techniques in MET and orienting them to the newly introduced Competency Based Medical Education (CBME), which was recently introduced by the NMC.
A press release from the institute said that the RC-MET, NEIGRIHMS will be conducting several such workshops annually and help train faculty of 17 medical colleges assigned to it by NMC.
