A one day awareness programme on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal ) Act 2013 was organized by the NEIGRIHMS Internal Complaints Committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (NICCPSH) on December 9.
Senior faculty, doctors, other staff and students attended the programme.
Dr Sarah Ralte, assistant professor of anatomy and E Jiten Singh, the law officer, both of whom are members of NICCPSH, spoke on the details of the POSH Act 2013, Vishaka guidelines to protect women at workplace and the role of NICCPSH in redressing the complaints of sexual harassment. This was followed by an interactive session.
