Daily wage workers of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) will resume their indefinite strike from tomorrow.
The All NEHU Workers Union (ANWU) yesterday sent a letter to NEHU vice chancellor Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla informing him that they will resume their silent protest and indefinite strike from tomorrow.
ANWU said it suspended its strike recently since the university is conducting various examinations.
In the letter, the union mentioned that till date the NEHU administration has not placed a concrete progress report with regard to the screening of data submitted by the casual workers nor a notification regarding non-deduction of salary against casual workers who had attended the silent protest from June 1 to 15.
