Two of three faculty members of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) who were named among the Top 2 per cent Scientists of the World in the latest ranking released by Stanford University, USA were today felicitated by Governor Chandrashekhar H Vijayashankar at the Raj Bhavan.
Appreciation letters were present to Prof. Timir Tripathi from the Department of Zoology (School of Life Sciences) and Dr. Shruti Shukla from the Department of Nanotechnology (School of Technology) by the Governor.
The Governor expressed pride in their accomplishments, stating, “Your achievements are a testament to the intellectual capabilities that exist in Meghalaya. The state is proud of this contribution to science and academia.”
He lauded their spirit of perseverance and encouraged them to keep pursuing excellence in their respective fields.
The professors shared their gratitude and expressed their commitment to continuing their research and contributing to the development of scientific knowledge.
