Eager to Forge Ahead (India) Foundation in collaboration with North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) organised a seminar on the “Life, Humanity and Education of Sri Aurobindo” on February 25 at NEHU’s campus here to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Aurobindo.
The Odisha-based foundation is traveling all across the country with the theme “Janambhoomi to Tapobhoomi” since August 15, 2021. Aurobindo happened to be born on the date on which would later coincide with India’s independence. The aim of the travelling seminar is to create awareness and deliver the message of Aurobindo for the nation and the world at large. The journey will conclude on August 15, 2022 at Aurobindo’s ashram in Pondicherry.
The seminar here was attended by faculty, staff and students of the university. The talk focused on the life of Aurobindo and his vision for the nation pre- and post-independence. The focus was on motivating the youth and countrymen to follow the path shown by the religious leader in their daily lives and contribute towards the creation of a strong and prospering nation and the world.
The welcome speech and introductory message were delivered by Dinesh Bhatia, NEHU’s event coordinator. Prof MP Pandey, chairman of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav, NEHU, welcomed the team from Odisha and other participants.
