The admission procedure for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for the undergraduate programme is underway and will continue till May 22, 2022.
University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, has announced that the total registration for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions has reached 9,81,406 and the total number of submitted applications is 7,39,027.
Meghalaya on the other hand is yet to receive any formal confirmation on whether students of state government-aided as well as private colleges will be exempted from the CUET to get admission into undergraduate courses.
On May 2, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma after his meeting with the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi had informed that the centre had agreed to exempt the affiliated colleges in Meghalaya.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the CUET 2022 exam this year in the first and second weeks of July. The last date for the registration process is May 22.
