The anti-ragging committee of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has clarified that the Naga Elders and NGOs were not expected to submit any report into the recent ragging of a students at its campus in Tura.
In a corrigendum issued today on the meeting held on the case, the university said the elders and NGOs attended the meeting to take stock of investigation and inquiry.
“The Naga Elders were not expected to present any report. The report was submitted by the inquiry committee of the university. The inadvertent mistake is regretted,” the press release said.
