Team RunMeghalaya comprising of 14 runners took part in the Tata Mumbai Marathon held yesterday.
Tlanding Wahlang was placed first in the 40-45 year category. Jomsing Ramsiej stood second in the 35-40 category while Marvin Kharkongor came third in the 25-30 year old category.
Among women, Darishisha Iangjuh secured third place among the amateur runners besides placing first in the 25-30 year old category. Bandasharai Marwein was placed third in the same category and Snora Lyngkhoi stood third in the 45-50 year old category.
Meanwhile Kmoinlang Wahlang was placed first among runners in the 70 years and above, being the only competitor in the category.
The team has also paid tribute to a deceased comrade Daphika Pakyntein whose death anniversary also coincided with the event.
Team members have also expressed gratitude for the immense support of Maximillian Lyngdoh, Jefferson Kharnaior, Shaikupar Kharsiing, Garry Umdor, Dr. Kyrshan Lynrah and Dr. Danny Hek.
