The Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) has announced that it will discontinue its school bus operation from the next academic year, effective April 1, 2026.
This decision was taken by the state-owned corporation’s Board of Directors and announced through a short press release today.
The MTC has suggested that the general public consider enrolling with the government-initiated STEMS, which is currently providing school bus services, as an alternative.
