Shillong, Sep 23: An MSME mentor development programme for officers under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme gets underway at IIM Shillong.
The program is being organized by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis, IIM Shillong and Department of Commerce & Industries from September 22 to 25.
Dr. Sanjeev K. Ningombam, Centre Coordinator welcomed the participants and encouraged them to share their challenges at workplace and provide valuable suggestions for inclusion of subjects that would aid in better public delivery mechanisms.
He acknowledged the mutually benefitted partnership between the Department of Commerce & Industries and IIM Shillong that would go a long way in building resilient and flourishing MSMEs in Meghalaya.
Joint Director of Commerce & Industries ML Wanshnong exhorted all the officers and staff from DCICs, MHHDC, MKVB, MIDC participating in the second batch of the programme to maximise learning and develop leadership skills to take the commerce and industries sector of Meghalaya to the apex level.
He stressed the need for improving outcomes of various government schemes and training for entrepreneurs by connecting the dots between entrepreneurial training to market and credit linkages.
