Due to the detection of positive Covid-19 cases/high risk contacts in the building and compound of Santina Kharkongor at Madanrting, Block F, Shillong and in the houses of Rajen Singh, Rajesh Singh, Baldip Singh and Kalwinder Kaur at Garoline, Laitumkhrah which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of Covid-19, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, in orders issued today has declared the above mentioned building, compound and houses as micro-containment areas so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site with effect from today.
Similarly, due to the detection of positive Covid-19 cases/high risk contacts in the houses of Sholinda Dkhar, House No. RN 035 and P Onyton Lyngdoh at Lawjynriew, Rngi Neng and in the house of Shubhashish Dhar at Jail Road, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, in orders issued today has declared the above mentioned houses as micro-containment areas so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site with effect from 20th September, 2020.
The orders state that no persons are allowed to move into the containment areas and inhabitants within these areas shall not move out, besides all inhabitants within the containment areas shall strictly remain inside their homes.
