The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District in a press release issued here has informed the additional activities permitted to resume in the district with effect from today.
These are snooker, billiards, table tennis in clubs, resorts, restaurants and football matches or tournaments subject to compliance with the SOPs being issued by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.
The order also permits crèches in Anganwadi Centres, subject to compliance with the SOPs being issued by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya.
Furthermore, all entities that wish to resume the above activities should seek permission from the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District confirming strict adherence to the prescribed SOPs and shall ensure strict compliance to these protocols and guidelines through periodic inspections and regulate the schedule and timings depending on the local situation and to meet the social distancing norms to be monitor by the concerned department.
