Cabinet Minister Abu Taher Mondal today visited the relief camps in Dalu and adjoining areas and interacted with the affected families.
Though the situation has improved, the weather forecast and cloudy weather indicates heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
“The district administration, Block Development Officer and his staff are pressed for relief and rehabilitation works. People are advised to be in a safer place for next 24 hours and follow the weather advisory,” Mondal said.
He also said that all line departments are instructed to take necessary action and the Health department staff have been asked to visit relief camps and provide all support.
Mondal also said that electricity is partially restored in Dalu area which will help mobile network and internet connectivity.
“Visited Dalu CHC to take stock of the injured flood victims. Had a review meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills and BDO, Dalu in the Block Office,” he added.
