Two cadres of Meghalaya Police have been named among the winners of the Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Police Training for 2020-21, it was revealed today.
The two are Armed Branch Inspector Ramsevak Thakur and Armed Branch Constable Commanding Umbah.
Thakur earned his award in the ‘outdoor category’. He is posted at the 2nd Meghalaya Police Battalion in Goeragre, West Garo Hills.
Umbah works at the Police Training School in Umran, Ri-Bhoi, and won his award in the ‘indoor category’, a press release from Assistant Inspector General of Police GK Iangrai said.
