The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the BJP’s youth wing, organised the ‘Pa Togan Sangma Best Student Award 2024’ in Tura today to recognise meritorious students.
The occasion was graced by Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly Biswajit Daimary and Tura MDC Bernard N. Marak, former State President of ABVP Meghalaya Lekhi A. Sangma and State Secretary of ABVP Tengku M. Marak.
More than 100 toppers of SSLC and HSSLC examinations who have excelled in their respective institutions were felicitated on the day.
The program saw the enthusiastic participation of over 400 students, 100 well-wishers, and more than 100 toppers from various institutions. The event provided a platform for students to be recognized for their academic dedication and excellence, with a special focus on encouraging young scholars to continue striving for success.
The felicitation program was organised with the objective to motivate students to achieve greater academic heights and a platform to inspire future generations by recognizing the hard work and determination of students.
The Pa Togan Sangma Best Student Award, named after a legendary Garo freedom fighter, holds a deep cultural and educational significance in Meghalaya, underscoring the importance of perseverance, leadership, and excellence in the region’s youth.
