Meritorious students who scored high percentage during the board examinations and degree exam were today felicitated by the Women’s Welfare Organisation, Seiñraij at a function held at the Dorbar Hall of Loompyrdi Iongpiah, Jowai.
Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla, MDC A. Andrew Shullai, Dolloi of Elaka Jowai Puramon Kynjing, leaders of Seiñ Raij Jowai and others were present at the function.
Speaking at the function, Shylla urged students to aim high in their studies and secure high percentage. He lauded the organisation for working tirelessly towards the welfare of the society despite the odds that any NGO faces.
Shylla also handed Rs 1 lakh to the organisation.
Shullai also urged students not to depend on getting government jobs but to use their skill and talents to stand on their own feet.
