The Meghalaya Editors’ and Publishers’ Association (MEPA) has expressed its deep shock and sorrow over the sudden demise of Angelina Riazida Lyngdoh, fondly known as Kong Ria today.
Lyngdoh as the publisher of U Nongsaiñ Hima has richly contributed to the spread of journalism in Meghalaya and is one of the oldest members of the association, MEPA general secretary John W Thabah said. Her demise is a great loss to the journalist fraternity, especially MEPA, he added.
The association has sent its condolences to the bereaved family especially her sons – Andrew W. Lyngdoh who is the Editor of U Nongsaiñ Hima, George B. Lyngdoh who is the MLA of Umroi constituency and former General Secretary of MEPA and the family.
