The Government of Meghalaya Project ‘Meghalaya Enterprise Architecture’ (MeghEA) has been nominated for the UN Awards in the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022.
Several projects were evaluated globally on various criteria and out of them only 20 projects were shortlisted from countries like Singapore, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Australia, Saudi Arabia, etc.
MeghEA has been nominated under the category of ‘The role of governments and all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for development’. Five out of the 20 selected projects would be shortlisted for the award.
MeghEA is a flagship program of the state that aims towards enabling service delivery from government to citizens, businesses and employees by adopting whole-of-government approach.
Services of 19 departments were assessed and direct linkage with SDGs was derived under the program. Finance Department was chosen as the pilot department.
Considered as the first-of-its-kind project which is based on India National Enterprise Architecture framework, the project claims to have reduced the processing time of files.
