The first Meghalaya International Film Festival will begin on Tuesday at the Soso Tham Auditorium here.
The festival will bring together 65 films and documentaries over five days, a press release informed today. Some 5,000 audience members are expected by organisers to attend.
The festival is an initiative of the Meghalaya Filmmakers’ Association and Meghalaya Tourism. Tourism and Arts and Culture Minister Paul Lyngdoh will inaugurate the event tomorrow evening at the gala opening. Renowned actor Adil Hussain will be present as special guest.
