The Congress today remarked that Meghalaya will always remain musical and peaceful not only during elections but forever.
Addressing a press conference here today AICC media coordinators, Bobeeta Sharma and Adv. Mathew Anthony observed that the atmosphere of campaign in Meghalaya is like a festival with music. They said dance being an integral part of the campaign Meghalaya is unique because the violence that is witnessed in some parts of the country during elections is not seen here. “This spirit of Meghalaya should be emulated by others as well,” they added.
While there are unfortunate incidents of violence in Garo Hills the Congress leaders said such acts should be condemned.
Anthony said the Congress is committed to fulfil the promises made in the manifesto and offer stability, which is unmatched with other “power-hungry partners.”
