Shillong, Feb 1: Students from Meghalaya are representing the state at the 69th National School Games in badminton, which is being held at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex, New Delhi, from January 30 to February 3.
The national-level sporting event has brought together young athletes from across the country to compete and showcase their talent, discipline and sportsmanship.
The Meghalaya contingent comprises participants in both U-19 boys and U-19 girls categories.
The boys’ team comprises Dapmon Papang, Karlsten Diengdoh, Haegan Joel Diengdoh and Mewanlamkupar Marbaniang. The girls’ team is made up of Sneha Chettri, Geryma Liezel Nongkhlaw, Inriti Nongtraw, Deidaphi Marpna and Nihaka Lamare.
The team is accompanied by officials Eranecles Syiem, Aibanker Kharbithai and Cherish M Patwet.
