Meghalaya Police have suspended the ongoing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) due to “deficiencies” from tomorrow.
The physical test for recruitment in the police force began on November 18.
The Central Recruitment Board (CRB) in statement said the deficiencies were found during the test conducted at 1st MLP BN Mawiong Shillong and 4th MLP BN Sohpian from November 18 to November 21.
Though these were not pointed out in the press release, CRB chairman Dalton P Marak said, “This matter was thoroughly scrutinized by the Central Recruitment Board. The Central Recruitment Board is committed to ensuring an error free Physical Efficiency Test. Therefore, the Central Recruitment Board Meghalaya Police is suspending the ongoing Physical Efficiency Test with immediate effect from November 22.”
He said new dates for the test will be announced and equal opportunity will be given to all candidates urging candidates to contact its office at Mawroh or help line no 6033164273 for any queries.
Earlier, the CRB has cautioned candidates of the PET not to fall prey to scamsters seeking payment to clear the test.
“There are scamsters who are asking payment through UPI, Google Pay, and other modes of payment to make candidates pass the Physical efficiency test (PET) of Meghalaya Police, All candidates are advised not to fall prey to such scamsters,” the advisory said.
