Shillong, Nov 28: An interdisciplinary team from Meghalaya was awarded the second prize for an AI-driven application for ‘Community-Driven One Health Surveillance in the Northeast Region of India’.
The award was present to the team led by the Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) in collaboration with North Eastern Hill University, and the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara at the National One Health Conclave (National One Health Mission Assembly 2025), held from November 20-21 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The team comprised Dr. Riviarynthia Kharkongor, Suklang Malngiang and Dr. Deepak Rajan from IIPH, Phibansabeth Nongkseh from NEHU and Dr. Iarisa Umdor from the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara.
The award was presented by Dr. V. K. Paul, Member (Health) NITI Aayog, and Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Secretary, Department of Health Research and Director General, ICMR.
