The East Jaiñtia Hills District Sports Office today organised the Meghalaya Day Run in collaboration with the district administration to celebrate 51 years of Statehood.
The 7-km run was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner J. Shylla, which started from the old Deputy Commissioner’s Office to Rymbai and back.
Cash prizes were also distributed to the winners in both the male and female categories.
Knerlang Phawa won the first place followed by Josmi Ryngkhlem in the second and third place was secured by Kordor. S. Manners in the male category.
In the female category, Rosy Sana secured the first prize while Lamsuk Phawa and Mariwi Shylla bagged the second and third prizes respectively.
