Meghalaya Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Kumar Mishra was honoured with Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) Excellence Award for cyber policing at Future Crime Summit 2025 held in Delhi recently.
The award was presented to Mishra, who is currently posted at Crime Branch Police Station, Shillon by Former Director General, Railway Protection Force (RPF) Arun Kumar in recognition of his outstanding contributions to cybercrime investigation and law enforcement.
The Future Crime Summit 2025, organised by the Future Crime Research Foundation took place on February 13 and 14 at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. The summit, India’s largest conference on technology-driven crime and cyber security, witnessed the participation of over 120 speakers and a gathering of more than 2,000 attendees, including top law enforcement officials, cyber security experts, policymakers, and industry leaders.
The FCRF Excellence Award for cyber policing recognises law enforcement officers who have demonstrated exceptional expertise and dedication in combating cybercrime and ensuring a safer digital environment.
The acknowledgement was for Mishra’s leadership in cybercrime investigations and his commitment to enhancing cyber policing strategies resulting in tackling complex digital threats.
