Meghalaya is observing two days of state mourning in remembrance of the former Chief Minister of Punjab, Parkash Sing Badal, who passed away on Tuesday.
The period of mourning began today and will conclude tomorrow.
During the period of state mourning, the national flag will be flown at half mast throughout the state and there will be no official entertainment on these two days.
