In a bid to maintain peace and tranquillity in the disputed border region between Assam and Meghalaya, the Ri-Bhoi police and their counterparts from West Karbi Anglong in the neighbouring state held a meeting yesterday in Sabuda village, Ri-Bhoi, to discuss ways and means to maintain peace along the border.
The meeting was attended by senior police officers of both districts who also discussed how to improve coordination between the two forces in order to combat crime and deal with anti-social elements.
