Shillong, Feb 15: The Meghalaya government has launched ‘Explore Meghalaya 360°’, a drone-based initiative to monetise the state’s scenic landscapes and promote tourism.
The project, flagged off by Robert Lyngdoh, Chief Administrative Officer of Meghalayan Age Ltd, allows tourists to capture high-definition aerial videos of Nohkalikai and Eco Park.
Visitors can receive personalised aerial footage directly on their mobile devices. The initiative also aims to create skill-based employment opportunities for local youth, who have been trained to operate the drones.
