With the aim to accelerate the skilling ecosystem by fostering connections between employers, skilled workers and local entrepreneurs, the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) will host a ‘Skillerate Connect’ event on March 5-6 at the New Nongstoiñ Playground in West Khasi Hills that will encompass an employers’ meet, job fair and haat bazaar.
Various stalls will be put up, offering an array of products and services including food, fruit wines, biscuits, clothing, flowers, electrical appliance repair and more, a press release stated.
Recruiters from various organisations and companies will be attending to recruit skilled youth across multiple sectors including agriculture and allied activities, IT, beauty and wellness, tourism and hospitality, the service sector, food industry, financial services and construction.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore various skills training programmes and register themselves, as well as learn about different schemes and loans offered by banks and services of government departments.
