Polling stations within Mawryngkneng and Mawphlang constituencies will be transformed into centres for Covid-19 vaccination on December 14-15, the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills has informed.
Besides, vaccination, people visiting the polling stations on those days can also avail of other benefits, such as registering for e-Shram (the national database for unorganised workers), Aadhaar enrolment and Aadhaar seeding for ration card holders.
The DC urged those who are still not vaccinated against Covid-19 to get the jab, especially since the Omicron variant is now present in the country.
