From today, Mawkyrwat market will reopen most of its shops on an odd-even basis, to try and restart economic activities while keeping in mind measures required to keep Covid-19 in check.
Shops that are allowed to open include those selling clothes, shoes, groceries, mobile shops, hardware, gift shops, jewellers, etc. However, tea shops, beauty parlours, etc are not allowed to reopen. Vegetable shops will continue to operate from the temporary farmers’ market at the Mawkyrwat Community Hall.
