To fulfil the desire of the public and to bring positive change in the all-round development of villages within the constituency, the MDC of Mawhati has demanded that the state government create a community and rural development (C&RD) block for the Mawhati area.
Charles Marngar briefed the media on his demand yesterday, saying that it has been a longstanding demand for the people of Mawhati constituency.
He also said that the land for setting up C&RD block offices at Mawhati will be provided free of cost. Being one of the most backward constituencies in the state, the people deserve to get a C&RD office to transform the situation in their villages.
“As of now, the people are compelled to travel 80km to reach Umsning C&RD block for official work and the mostly poor people are not able to afford the expense of travel.
