The court of the Special Judge (POCSO) in Shillong has sentenced a man to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor.
The court in its verdict on December 6, also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Dresstar Kurbah, who was found guilty of the crime committed on June 2021.
The case was registered on November 2, 2021 at Mawlai PS and investigated into by WP/Sub-Inspector Lavinia S Kongwang. On completion of the investigation the case was charge sheeted against Kurbah on January 12, 2022.
