East Jaintia Hills police have arrested a man from Assam accused in the murder of a 60-year-old woman in Ladrymbai Dongwah.
Police arrested 38-year-old Saidul Alom Barbhuiya of Septi Borjapur in Hailakandi, Assam last night.
The victim, identified as Nildres Dkhar, was found dead inside her home on January 29. Reportedly she had visited her daughter in Ladrymbai Datsimpeiñ on January 27 and returned home at around 6 pm.
Police said following a missing complaint a search was conducted and her lifeless body was found inside her locked house.
