A 50-year old man who went missing from his home at Mawkohphet was found dead by a stream at Pynden Mawlieh under South West Khasi Hills district.
The man identified as Dastar Roy Nongsiej had gone out with his friends on Sunday and did not returned home. His body was found in a stream yesterday at around 4:30 pm, villagers said.
Police said his family had sought exemption from post mortem and suspects no foul play in his death.
Meanwhile, a 13-year-old boy died by suicide at Photjaud War village today. His body was found hanging from a tree in a nearby jungle.
