An unidentified person was found dead in a suspected hit-and-run case along the National Highway 6 at Ïalong village.
In a press release today, West Jaiñtia Hills Superintendent of Police BD Marak said the person was found dead on March 26 at around 6:30 pm.
After autopsy, the dead body is being kept at Jowai Civil Hospital morgue and till date no one has come forward to claim, he added.
The person is 5.2 ft all with black hair and round face. He was wearing black pant and jacket and has a burn scar on his chest.
He said a case has been registered at Jowai PS for further investigation.
