A man in Shillong has been apprehended for allegedly torturing and beating his wife and children.
Tokdir Sintang, a resident of CID Quarter, was arrested today by police.
According to reports, the wife initially refused to file any complaints against her husband, believed to have been threatened by him. However, the severity of the injuries sustained by the wife and children led to the man’s arrest.
The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. It is unclear what provoked the accused to commit the crime.
