Thma U Rangli-Juki (TUR) and Workers Power have demand free Covid vaccination for all eligible persons in the State.
Stating that the shocking withdrawl of the central government led by BJP from ensuring that money does not become a barrier to vaccination and letting the market forces set the price, the organisations in a statement today said it is incumbent on the State government to ensure that vaccines are available and accessible to the common citizens as soon as possible.
TUR also said that if the government has to impose total lockdown, it should bring back the income support for daily wage earners including hawkers, street vendors and farmers.
Suggesting the government to take local self government institutions into confidence with adequate financial support, TUR said this would become a true community fight to contain the second wave of the virus.
