The Home Department today carried out a major reshuffle in the Police Department.
According to an order issued today, Assistant Inspector General (A), Gabriel K. Iangrai has been transferred and posted as Commandant, SF-10.
Assistant Inspector General (Establishment), Sacheng R. Marak will take over as the Assistant Inspector General (A) in place of Iangrai.
South Garo Hills Superintendent of Police (SP), Rituraj Ravi has been transferred and posted as Director, State Crime Research Bureau.
South West Garo Hill SP, Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar has been appointed as the new SP of South Garo Hills.
Stephan A. Rynjah, Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion has been appointed as SP, South West Garo Hills.
SP (Traffic) Shillong, Shailendra Bamaniya has been appointed as SP, North Garo Hills in place of Abraham T. Sangma who has been appointed as SP, East Garo Hills.
East Garo Hills SP, Bruno A. Sangma has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 2nd MLP Battalion.
Commandant, SF-10, Jerry F K Marak has been appointed as the Inspector General of Prisons with effect from September 1, the date of voluntary retirement of Mariahom Kharkrang.
