A reporter of a local news channel, T7 was assaulted allegedly by former sordar of Sohiong, K. Nongbri while reporting on an incident at Lenmawtap on Saturday.
The reporter was covering the alleged misuse of funds to the tune of 22.5 lakhs via the PMKKY scheme for the construction of a play ground.
The video camera of the reporter was also snatched during the coverage.
Meanwhile, residents of Lenmawtap A have condemned the behaviour of Nongbri and action against him.
The resident were opposing opposed the construction of a playground at Len Mawtap A and alleged that it was done forcefully by the BDO of Sohiong C&RD Block together with the former members of the dorbar shnong.
