Leader of the Opposition Dr Mukul Sangma today reached Nengkra Adalgre in East Garo Hills to verify the unclaimed coal supposed to have been auctioned.
The notification of the auction was brought out on December 17 last year and the quantum of unclaimed coal is 34,082 MT.
However, Sangma said that the quantum was only more than 5000 metric tons and said the claim of the government that owners were not known is false.
