Lives have been lost in the Amlarem region because of a dearth of ambulances, the Sunjuk Ki Waheh Shnong of the War Jaintia region has told cabinet minister Lahkmen Rymbui.
Rymbui is also the local MLA. In a letter to him dated yesterday, the Synjuk’s secretary and president said that Covid-19 cases are increasing in Amlarem sub-division and “many lives” have been lost during the ongoing pandemic because the public have no access to ambulances, either for Covid or non-Covid patients, and Rymbui was requested to help in this matter.
