Shillong, Dec 15: Authorities in Pynursla civil sub-division announced today that the stretch of the Shillong-Dawki Road between Laitlyngkot and Lyngkyrdem will be open without restrictions from December 18.
For several months, this stretch was under periodic closure orders as roadworks took place.
While the major work has now been completed, some “small-scale construction” and recovery activities may still need to be conducted and during these periods temporary traffic interruptions of 10-15 minutes may occur.
“Road users are therefore requested to remain cautious, cooperate with on-site personnel and make necessary prior preparations while planning their travel,” the notice today said.
