Shillong, Oct 16: PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Umroi Cantonment has brought laurels to the region bagging the ‘State Winner’ title at the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2025 – North East Finale, with an impressive score of 50 points.
The prestigious event was held at Miles Bronson Residential School, located near Guwahati Airport, Guwahati, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from schools across the North Eastern states.
Representing the school was Adarsh Singh (Class IX) and Anisha Pathak (Class VIII) showcased exceptional environmental awareness, quick thinking, and strong teamwork, securing the top position in the state.
The school coordinator for the event was Krishna Nand Singh, Librarian, who was also present at the venue to support and guide the students.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Archita Baruah, State Coordinator, WWF.
The Wild Wisdom Global Challenge is an international wildlife and environmental quiz designed to engage students and build awareness about biodiversity, climate change, and conservation.
The Principal, staff, and students congratulated the winners for their remarkable achievement. Their success stands as an inspiration for students to take an active role in environmental protection and sustainable living, the school said in a press release.
